F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might secure the pole position after finding a few more tenths in his last run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, narrowly outdoing Verstappen by just 0.02s to clinch the pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton qualifying ahead of George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc takes the lead, followed by his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid includes Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following the enforcement of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will be accompanied by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, the Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In the all-RB ninth row, Yuki Tsunoda is in front of Daniel Ricciardo for the Spanish Grand Prix. Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the last row. After the team decided to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
