F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen appeared to have secured the pole position after improving his final run by a few tenths, but Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite Carlos Sainz on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the attempt to break into the top 10 and gain points. He will be joined on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, while Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant are essentially forming the rear row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
