10 Things to Know: Oktoberfest at Lee USA Speedway

A full weekend of racing is on tap at Lee USA Speedway this weekend, with Russ Conway's Oktoberfest taking the track. Here are 10 things to know about the three-day affair.

– Lee USA Speedway is a fast three-eighths of a mile oval with 12 degrees of banking. Built in 1964 as a dirt tri-oval, it was converted to an oval in 1984.

– On Friday, the North East Mini Cups will run a 15-lap feature followed by Pure Stocks for 25-laps, Six Shooters at 25 laps, Seekonk Pure Stocks for 25-laps, Black Flagged Podcast Ridge Runners Championships for 25 laps and the Street Stocks for 50 laps. All divisions will have heat races prior to their feature event.

– On Saturday the Wicked Good Vintage Early Late Models will run a 20-lap feature, followed by the Wicked Good Vintage Outlaws for 20 laps, the New England Pro 4 Modified’s tribute feature to Norm Wrenn III – That will be 31 laps. The Ridge Runners and Seekonk Pure Stock Challenge will go for 25 laps. The NEMA Lights will go 25 laps, The Street Stocks will have a 50 lap open, and the NEMA cars will finish with a 25 lapper.

– On Sunday the Pro 4 Mods get the track for 25 laps, The Late Model Sportsman will go 50 laps. THE NHSTRA Mods will qualify and race for 75 laps as will the Pro Stocks. The New England Dwarf cars are slated to have a 25 lap contest as well.

– The NEMA Midgets have been running at Lee all the way back into the 1960’s. That's one of the few divisions that is as old as the track.

– On the Pro Stock side of things Jimmy Renfrew, Jr., Ryan Green, Joey Doiron and Casey Call have all won feature races this season. Brandon Barker is on top of the points, but Oktoberfest always brings a bunch of outside competitors who are capable of winning the main event.

– Doiron was the Pro Stock winner in the track's most recent event, the Freedom 300. He took the checkered flag ahead of Bryan Kruczek and Brandon Barker.

– In all, the three-day event is advertising 661 laps of feature racing, and that’s not including the heat races.

– For fans in New Hampshire, the weekend of racing promises to be both exciting and affordable. Single-day tickets for adults are $15 on Friday and Saturday, and $25 on Sunday. There is a also a three-day ticket option for just $40 for all of Oktoberfest. For more information, visit https://leeusaspeedway.com.
