Jett Noland Takes Pro Late Model Win at Cordele Motor Speedway
Jett Noland went to victory lane Saturday night at Cordele Motor Speedway, winning the Pro Late Model 100 lap feature.
Noland took the lead on a lap 55 restart from Cale Hall, rocketing around the outside into the top spot. Noland stayed ahead of Hall and Jake Finch for the win in the track’s second Pro Late Model event of 2024.
Noland acknowledged some brake issues kept him on the conservative side as he worked his way through the field from the eighth starting spot. Once he had the lead, however, it was all out.
“We had some brake issues from about lap 20,” said Noland. “We were riding around during the middle of the race. We gave it all at the end, no brake pedal. I can’t thank my crew chief enough and my whole team, everybody that helps me get this car ready to go racing.”
“It was slowly getting better. It’s normally a long-run kind of car, so normally we get better as it goes on. I feel like the car was really good.”
Daniel Webster led the first 11 circuits of the event before Boston Oliver took the top spot. Cale Hall assumed control of the field on lap 30, maintaining that position until Noland’s pass on the lap 55 restart.
The caution that slowed the field with 54 laps completed proved to be a heart-stopping moment for Hall while he led the field. Spencer Bragg slowed out of turn two with an apparent issue, and Hall made contact with Bragg trying to navigate around the slower car.
Seth Christensen finished fourth, with Boston Oliver rounding out the top five.
