Kaden Honeycutt Teams with On-Point Motorsports for Pocono Debut

DENVER, N.C. – July 14, 2022 – Texas racer Kaden Honeycutt has reached a deal with On Point Motorsports to join that NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team as both driver and full-time employee. His debut behind the wheel of the Friends Of Jaclyn Foundation Toyota Camry No. 30 will come on Saturday, July 23 at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. He will also drive in two additional races, one at Richmond (Va.) Raceway on August 13 and the other at Kansas Speedway on September 9.

Honeycutt, 18, has relocated to North Carolina to begin working with the race team at their shop prior to the Pocono race. He understands the opportunity he has been given and is ready to do what it takes to help lead the organization back toward the front of the field. “Words can’t describe how exciting this is not for just me but for my family and supporters that have been involved in my racing career,” Honeycutt said. “This is what I have wanted to do for my entire life – work for a great team and drive a race car at the same time. I cannot thank Steven "Bones" Lane and On Point Motorsports for this opportunity. I am going to give 200% every day at the shop and on the track. Hopefully, this can turn into something more long-term if I do my part and get after it the rest of the year. I cannot thank everyone enough who has played any part in helping me get to this point. It is a special opportunity and I really want to do everything I can to reward the team for taking the chance on me and give them some strong finishes to build off of for the future.”

Lane, a long-time racer turned NASCAR crew chief and team owner believes that good things can come from having Honeycutt in the shop and on the track. “I’m really looking forward to having Kaden drive for us in Pocono,” he said. “I have kept an eye on him for a while and I have been impressed with both his racing style and how he handles himself. He is a great fit for our team, and I think this is a step in the right direction for us as we continue to improve our organization both on and off the track.”
