Kasey Kleyn to Join FatHead Racing for 2024 Season

FatHead Racing (FHR) is proud to announce the addition of Kasey Kleyn, a 16-year-old racing prodigy from Quincy, WA, to their roster for the 2024 season. Kleyn, who has already captured four victories in the highly competitive Northwest Super Late Model Series (NWSLMS) this year, is poised to make a significant impact as he steps into the national spotlight.

Kleyn's 2024 campaign with FHR marks a pivotal transition from his dominance on the West Coast to taking on some of the most prestigious races in the Southeast, including the All American 400, the Governor’s Cup, and the Snowball Derby. He will be piloting the FHR Super Late Model, a move that underscores his ambition to compete against the best in the business.

“We’re excited to have Kasey join us for the 2024 season,” said Jamie Yelton, owner of FHR. “At just 16, he’s already demonstrated an exceptional level of talent and maturity on the track. We believe Kasey has what it takes to compete at the highest level, and we’re committed to supporting his development as a driver.”

Kleyn’s addition to FHR comes at a time when the team is bolstering its resources, including the recent partnership with veteran driver and hotshoe Bubba Pollard, who has joined FHR as the new driver coach. Pollard’s experience and success in the sport are expected to be invaluable assets as Kleyn navigates the challenges of racing in the Southeast.

“Our program is all about nurturing young talent,” continued Yelton. “With Bubba on board as our driver coach, we’re giving our drivers, including Kasey, the best possible tools to learn, grow, and succeed.”

Kleyn expressed his enthusiasm for the new opportunity, stating, “I’m really excited to join the FHR team. Their on-track results speak for themselves, and I think I’m going to learn a lot from working with them.”

“Earlier this year, we traveled to the Southeast for the Rattler 250 and the first round of the ASA Tour at Five Flags Speedway,” continued Kleyn. “Those experiences really opened my eyes to the level of competition out here, and I’m eager to keep pushing myself to get better.”

Kleyn's decision to join FHR was driven by a desire for meaningful development rather than just filling a seat. “When looking at the options to partner with some of these development teams, I didn’t want to be just another person in the seat for a couple of races,” Kleyn explained. “I want to work one-on-one with the guys and be with a team that invests in my growth as a driver.”

Despite his new commitment to FHR, Kleyn will continue to race on the West Coast, driving the No. 1 Super Late Model with Trevor Cristiani Racing in various NWSLMS events. “Trevor has been more than just a crew chief; he’s been a mentor, both on and off the track,” said Kleyn. “I’m fortunate to continue working with him and our team while also expanding my horizons with FHR.”

Kasey Kleyn’s 2024 season with FatHead Racing will begin at the All American 400, setting the stage for a year of intense competition and growth. As he prepares to take on some of the toughest tracks and competitors in the country, Kleyn is focused on making his mark in the sport.
