Port-a-Potty Grand Prix, Late Model Doubleheader on Tap for WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Night at Thunder Road

After misty rains washed away the second half of the Times Argus Midseason Championships last Thursday, WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Night has only grown in importance for the Maplefield/Irving Late Model division. Now starting the program with their double-point Times Argus Midseason Championship 75-lapper, the Late Models are going for TRIPLE POINTS on Thursday including the WDEV/Calkins trophy dash later in the evening! WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Night also features twin features for the Road Warriors, the World Famous Port-a-Potty Grand Prix, the start of a three-in-a-row rk Miles Street Stock Triple Crown and continued track championship action from the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers!

While the Maplefield/Irving Late Models chase down triple the points on Thursday night, they’re also chasing young phenom Kaiden Fisher. The 16-year-old from Shelburne has had quite the season so far, taking one victory each at both Thunder Road and White Mountain Motorsports Park, all while chasing the rookie of the year honors on the American-Canadian Tour! Tracking down the young-gun are a crew of those he watched growing up on Quarry Hill including Scott Dragon, Chip Grenier and Nick Sweet among others!

The Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers are deep in the clutches of the division’s top ace, East Thetford’s Brandon Gray. Gray has swept all seven events at White Mountain Motorsports Park so far this season along with three victories at Thunder Road and looks to capture both championships! A rough and tumble Midseason Championships left title chasers Sam Caron and Kyle Streeter behind the eight ball while Barre’s Chris Laforest has run a career season so far at second-in-points. Watch for Highgate’s Cam Gadue and Middlesex’s Logan Powers on Thursday as the young veterans tied in third look to break free!

The rk Miles Street Stocks begin a busy three-race-in-one-week stretch on WDEV/Calkins Night with the start of their own Triple Crown Series! Dean Switser, Jr. is looking to successfully defend his 2023 Triple Crown championship while also gunning for a second Street Stock track championship. Tyler Whittemore, Trevor Jaques and Zach Audet join Switser as the early three-race favorites, the drivers that can most certainly drive up through the field to claim this season’s Triple Crown. Starting with the WDEV/Calkins 25-lap feature, the Street Stock Triple Crown continues with Sunday’s 50-lap special as part of the Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro 200 and the champion will be crowned on Community College of Vermont Night next Thursday!

The Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors also return for double features on Thursday! Will another first-time winner climb the podium or will the veterans regain the win streak? Found out on Quarry Hill this Thursday on WDEV/Calkins Night!

The Nation’s Site of Excitement is back on Thursday, August 1 with WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Night headlined by the World Famous Port-a-Potty Grand Prix! Alongside the Ken Squier Original Event, WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Night will begin with the rain-postponed Times Argus Midseason Championship event for both the Late Models and Road Warriors. The rk Miles Street Stocks also begin their three-in-a-row Triple Crown plus continued action from the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers with a 7:00pm Post Time! Adult General Admission will be on sale for $15, kids 12-6 for $5 with children 5 and under free! The Family Four Pack (Two Adults, Two Kids) is also available for $30.
