Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars Paying $20,000 to Win in 2022

The Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars, in its second year, will take place in Jacksonville, NC on Sunday, November 13, 2022. The winner of this 200-lap race stands to receive a cash prize of $20,000.

In addition to the purse increase, the 2022 Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars is introducing a new format. While last year’s race consisted of 150 laps divided into three stages, this year’s race will extend to 200 laps, also divided into three stages. Moreover, the Goodyear All American Speedway’s autumn highlight will mark its second running as a six-tire race.

“Last year’s Battle of the Stars surpassed our wildest expectations and we’re eager to make this year’s event even more successful,” said Anthony Goodyear, the track operator. “We’re increasing the winning prize to $20,000 and adjusting the format to enhance the thrill of the race. Moreover, we’re planning to expand the entire weekend’s activities.”

This year’s race format will be divided into three stages. The initial two stages will consist of 75 laps each, while the final stage will have 50 laps. During the stage breaks, teams can opt to change either fuel or tires, but not both simultaneously, a tactic aimed at intensifying strategy. The qualifying round for the Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars is scheduled for Saturday, November 12. On the same day, the evening will feature races for Jr. Mini Cups, Bombers, Champ Karts, and the concluding race for the Atlantic Turfscapes Super Truck Series.

Should more than 32 cars attempt to qualify for the Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars, the top-20 will secure their positions based on time, with the rest of the positions decided in a Last Chance Qualifier on Sunday afternoon. This will mark the commencement of the racing program. The program will also showcase Bandoleros, Bombers, and Legends before the 200-lap main event begins.

If they try to participate in the race, five drivers will have their starting positions guaranteed. These drivers include Josh Berry, the victor of the 2021 Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars race, the 2022 Goodyear All American Speedway track champion, the most successful Late Model driver on the track in 2022 (if different from the champion), the winner of the Orange Blossom Shootout at Orange County Speedway on Saturday, October 8, 2022, and the victor of the Prelude to the Battle on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

Tickets for the 2nd Annual Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars will be available for purchase with race day, two day and three day passes available. The race will also be broadcast live on Racing America.
