– Not the numbers we want to see, but the Cup race at Texas today had a record number of cautions with tire issues being the majority of the problems. When it was all said and done, 16 yellows waved on the Texas race for 91 laps. It took over four hours to run the race.

– Noah Gragson became the second driver in the history of the NASCAR Xfinity Series to win four straight races. The win at Texas was his fourth consecutive and seventh of the year. Sam Ard was the other driver who won four straight races in the series back in 1983.

– Bubba Pollard used a fourth-place finish to win the Blizzard Series at Five Flags Speedway (FL) for the fifth time in his career. This year, however, was the first year he did not win a race in the series dating back to 2008. Maybe that’s the motivation he will need for the Snowball Derby come December.

– Stephen Nasse won the Southern Super Series finale at Five Flags Speedway. The win was his fifth in the series as Hunter Robbins finished strong enough to win the Southern Super Series title.

– On the Pro Late Model side of things at Five Flags Speedway, Dylan Fetcho finished second to win the Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series Championship. Gio Ruggerio won the Saturday night race with Jackson Boone winning the Friday night race.

– The streak of NASCAR Whelen All American Series National Champions failing to win the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 continued this weekend. Peyton Sellers won the crown jewel Late Model Stock Car event at Martinsville Speedway (VA). Sellers got the win in his 14th start. On top of the big check, Peyton Sellers won the Virginia Triple Crown for the fourth time in his career.

– The Cinderella story from 2016, Mike Looney finished fourth for his third top five in the Martinsville race and his second in the last two years. If he keeps making runs like this, he could collect another grandfather clock.

– Jason Vail won the 2021 Wheel Man Sportsman Series title with no wins during the season. He got his first win since then at Citrus County Speedway (FL) on Saturday. Vail is the fifth different winner in five races this season. The season will end at Auburndale Speedway (FL) on November 26th.
