zMAX CARS Tour Issues Penalty Report Following Throwback 276 at Hickory

The ZMAX CARS Tour has issued penalties regarding several incidents that occured during the SoundGear Throwback 276 at Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 27.

The CARS Tour's penalty report reads as follows:


ZMAX CARS Tour presented by SoundGear has issued the following penalties which were incurred during the Throwback 276 Race Event at Hickory Motor Speedway on July 27, 2024.

For actions detrimental to automobile racing or to the CARS Tour under Section 1A of the Rule Book:

  • Driver Buddy Isles Jr. (No. 11) of Vandyke Racing Performance will receive probation for the remainder of the season and will be fined $500 for the unauthorized crossing of the racing surface to confront another competitor. The fine must be paid before returning to the series.
  • Driver Andrew Grady (No. 1) of TG Motorsports will receive probation for the remainder of the season and will be fined $500 for the unauthorized crossing of the racing surface to confront another competitor. The fine must be paid before returning to the series.
  • Driver Ryan Millington (No. 15) of Saville Millington Motorsports will receive probation for the remainder of the season for rough driving.

For assaulting or threatening to cause bodily harm to a CARS Tour official under Section 1D of the Rule Book:

  • Driver Andrew Grady (No. 1) of TG Motorsports will receive a three-race suspension, effective at North Wilkesboro Speedway (Aug. 3), Ace Speedway (Aug. 9), and Wake County Speedway (Aug. 24), and will be fined $1,000. This fine must be paid before returning to the series.

For entering another competitor's pit area to instigate a physical confrontation under Section 1F of the Rule Book:

  • Chris Courtney will receive a one-race suspension, effective at North Wilkesboro Speedway (Aug. 3), and will be fined $500. The fine must be paid before returning to the series.
  • Gage Painter will receive a one-race suspension, effective at North Wilkesboro Speedway (Aug. 3), and will be fined $500. The fine must be paid before returning to the series.

The ZMAX CARS Tour's next event is Saturday, August 3 at North Wilkesboro Speedway. That event is the make-up of the Window World 125 and Reverend 100 originally scheduled for the week of NASCAR's All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro.
