Once all votes have been counted, the players will be ranked based on their positions (guard and frontcourt) within each of the three voting groups – fan votes, player votes, and media votes, in each conference. A player’s score will be determined by averaging his weighted rank from the votes of fans, players, and media. The top two guards and three frontcourt players with the highest scores in each conference will be declared as starters for the NBA All-Star Game. In the event of a tie score within a position group, fan votes will be used as the tiebreaker.

The 2019 NBA All-Star Voting, sponsored by Google, is ongoing from December 25 to January 21. Updates on fan voting will be provided on two more occasions, Thursday, January 10 and Thursday, January 17.
