Anthony Davis exits Lakers game vs. Nuggets

Anthony Davis Injury

On this second-quarter drive, Anthony Davis re-injured his right Achilles.

Anthony Davis left the Lakers vs. Nuggets game on Sunday night due to a right Achilles strain suffered in the second quarter. Kyle Kuzma was his substitute at the start of the third quarter.

Davis was questionable for the game due to right Achilles tendinosis. He had previously missed two matches because of this injury before making a return in a victorious match against Memphis on Friday.

Davis stated, “I don’t wish to tamper with this kind of injury. I’m just trying to determine the best course of action.”

As we wait for an update on Anthony Davis, Kyle Kuzma is initiating the 2nd half in his place.

After Davis struggled to the locker room, Los Angeles never regained their momentum. He had been injured while attempting to maneuver around Jokic with just 2:39 remaining before halftime.

Davis limped to the free-throw line, successfully made both shots, and was then substituted out. In 14 minutes, he completed the game with 15 points and four rebounds.

“Davis stated, “I felt like I was ready to go.”

Through 22 games, he has averaged 22.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.9 blocks in 33.7 minutes per game.
