Chef G. Garvin’s Sauté Corn with crispy bacon and Green onion is a mouthwatering recipe and delicious side dish. In October, the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena tapped award-winning and critically acclaimed chef, author and TV personality G. Garvin as Chief Culinary Officer to oversee the food experience throughout the venue.

Ingredients:
1 lb. fresh corn ears of fresh shucked corn |
1/2 cup chopped crisp bacon, cooked (optional) |
1 cup heavy creamer (optional) |
2 large green onions, thinly sliced |
1 tbsp. agave |
1/4 cup olive oil |
1 tbsp. diced red onion |
2 tbsp. butter |
Salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
- Add oil to the sauce pan over medium heat
- Add the onion and the corn and cook stirring frequently for four to five minutes to prevent sticking
- Add cream until liquid is reduced and corn is tender
- Stir in the agave and cook for one minute
- Add butter and green onions to the pan and bacon (if using)
- Remove from heat and serve hot
