Chicago Bulls forward Patrick Williams will have surgery on his left foot and be out for the rest of the season, the team announced Friday.
What happened: Williams has been sidelined since Jan. 25 with initial bone edema in his left foot.

He will undergo surgery and be out for the remainder of the season.

Injury impact: Williams, 22, is averaging 10 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 27.3 minutes this season. The loss delivers the Bulls another hit to their main core. Bulls star Zach LaVine had season-ending surgery on his right foot earlier this month.
The Bulls are currently in 9th place in the East with a 26-30 record.
