Charlotte Hornets City Edition Uniform: fanbase mad about basketball
Charlotte’s uniforms changed the game the day they arrived and they remain one of the most stylish teams in the league. The 2021-22 Nike NBA Charlotte Hornets City Edition Uniform celebrates a fanbase that’s so mad about basketball, it willed its team into existence—twice.

In honor of the NBA’s 75th season, the jersey acts as a basketball mixtape recognizing the franchises greatest hits:
The “Charlotte” script wordmark has never been used before on a jersey, instantly calling to mind the pennant craze of the late eighties.
- The legendary teal is front and center, covered with a subtle honeycomb pattern to let opposing teams know they’re in the hornets’ nest.
- The iconic pinstripes make their return in purple, green, royal and Carolina Blue to the team that was the first in NBA history to rep them.
- The numbers rep the current Hornets font, right justified on the front as a throwback to the Bobcats jerseys from ‘04-’09 and ‘12-’14, and the player name on the back honors the classic Hornets font.
- The jersey boasts the team’s establishment in 1988, and the shorts bring back the original Hugo design from those early years while the belt buckle pulls it all back to Buzz City.
This season’s Nike NBA City Edition Uniform also bring back the iconic pinstripes and legendary teal from years past. And with the added mark of the Jordan Brand Jumpman — they’ll give fans a reason to take flight this season on and off the court.
