Gordon Hayward exits game after re-aggravating right hand injury
The Hornets’ leading scorer is Hayward, with an average of 21.9 points per game.
Charlotte’s 132-110 loss to Utah on Monday night included an injury to one of its most important players. Hornets forward Gordon Hayward was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter after re-aggravating a right hand injury.

He seemed to have sustained the injury after landing forcefully on his wrist at the conclusion of a basket drive. Replays revealed that he used his right hand to break his fall, and following this, Hayward was seen sitting on the floor clearly in agony.
“After the game, Hornets coach James Borrego stated, “We’ll have more information tomorrow. Clearly, we’re all worried, but I don’t have a formal update at this moment.””
