Game Recap: Trail Blazers 97, Grizzlies 92

LAS VEGAS — The Portland Trail Blazers narrowly edged out the Memphis Grizzlies, 97-92, in Las Vegas Summer League action at Thomas and Mack Center on Monday night.
The game was closely contested until Portland took charge in the fourth quarter. The Trail Blazers managed to secure a lead of 11 points, maintaining this lead for the final 12 minutes of the game. Their exceptional shooting, with a field goal percentage of 47.1, was instrumental in their advancement past the Grizzlies.
Caleb Swanigan, the sophomore big man, racked up 21 points for Portland and secured 16 rebounds, with six on the offensive end. Archie Goodwin contributed a team-best 22 points, including an impressive 14-of-16 performance at the free-throw line.
Brandon Goodwin was the top scorer for Memphis, contributing 27 points from the bench. Additionally, Kobi Simmons, a guard in his second year, continued to impress in Las Vegas, scoring 23 points and securing three steals.
On Tuesday night, the Trail Blazers will move forward to the Summer League Championship Game, where they will compete against the defending champions, the Los Angeles Lakers.
