Grizzlies center Zach Edey exits Grizzlies-Pelicans with right ankle injury
Zach Edey was back in the Grizzlies’ lineup for the 1st time since his impressive Summer League debut on July 8 in Salt Lake City.

Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey, the No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, rolled his right ankle in Thursday’s NBA 2K25 Summer League game against the New Orleans Pelicans and did not return.
Edey left the game with 3:16 remaining before halftime after landing on another player’s foot while attempting to block his shot.
The 7-foot-4 center had six points, three rebounds and a block while making all three of his shot attempts before exiting the game.
Edey had missed the previous five games while dealing with left ankle soreness.
