Miami Heat City Edition Uniform: a team as vibrant as its city
From the day the franchise was founded, Miami has always been a team that’s as vibrant as the city where it plays. The 2021-22 Nike NBA Miami Heat City Edition Uniform honors a history of winning championships on the court and defining culture off of it.

In honor of the NBA’s 75th season, this uniform is a mixtape in the truest sense of the word: A signature collage of letters and numbers from eight of the franchise’s most iconic uniforms, all woven together.
- A black base color provides a neutral foundation for its mashup-style “MIAMI” wordmark, which features assorted letter forms pulled from popular HEAT uniform sets, including Miami Floridians, Hardwood Classics, and VICE Nights, among others.
- That same mishmash aesthetic extends to the uniform’s shorts, which feature a mashup-style “HEAT” wordmark on the lower right leg, as well as a multicolored version of the team’s classic “ball and flame” logo on the lower left leg.
- The uniform also weaves in several references to the HEAT’s championship-winning history. Just above the jock tag appears the “15 STRONG” anthem: a rallying cry throughout the team’s 2006 championship run. Just below that is a list of the three years in which the HEAT have won a championship, each stacked vertically on the waistband of the shorts.
- Rounding out the uniform is a thin golden stripe that frames the ensemble of elements—a nod to the infamous yellow ropes brought out seconds before “The Shot” during the 2013 Finals.
The City Edition embodies the indelible mark the Miami Heat made on the NBA’s first 75 years — winning championships on the court and defining culture off it.
