The Phoenix Suns defeated the Indiana Pacers 84-69 in the NBA2K23 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Sunday.
A 20-11 first quarter set the foundation for Phoenix in this dominating victory, winning in wire-to-wire fashion. In fact, they outscored Indiana 30-18 in the third quarter and got their lead up to 23 points at times. They also led by at least 14 points for the final 12 minutes of this game. The Suns shot 38 percent from the field and 31 percent from 3-point range (12-for-39) while holding the Pacers to 33 percent from the field and 17 percent from long range (6-for-36). Phoenix also out-assisted Indiana, 23-16, while out-rebounding them 52-36.
The Suns (3-2) were led by Louis King, who collected 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Ish Wainwright had 11 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals. Kameron Taylor tallied 11 points, four rebounds and two steals, while Tyson Carter led the bench with 12 points and six boards.
The Pacers (2-3) had no player reach double figures in scoring. Kendall Brown led the starters with eight points, three rebounds and two steals. Jermaine Samuels Jr. led the bench with eight points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Eli Brooks provided six points, three rebounds and four assists off the pine as well.
The contest marked the end of 2K23 Summer League action for both clubs.
