Raptors 80, Jazz 74: Box score | Game details

The Toronto Raptors defeated the Utah Jazz, 80-74, on Wednesday at Cox Pavilion in the NBA 2K23 Summer League.

The Raptors enjoyed an excellent start in this game and quickly built a double-digit lead in the first quarter once they doubled the Jazz’s point tally (24-12). They would increase that advantage even further following a 22-18 score in the second quarter. Knowing they were up by 16 points, the Raptors tried to control the game the rest of the way and that worked out until Utah woke up and mounted a late comeback in the fourth. Despite the fact that the Jazz won the second half by a 10-point margin, it was not enough and Toronto ended up winning the contest.

D.J. Wilson led the way for Toronto with a 22-point performance and also added nine rebounds, while Jeff Dowtin recorded 19 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the field. As for Utah, Jared Butler was the leading scorer with 12 points and six assists, while Leandro Bolmaro ended with 11 points. Bruno Caboclo also had a strong game with nine points and nine rebounds.

Both the Raptors and the Jazz will play again Friday, with the Raptors facing the Miami Heat and the Jazz taking on the Los Angeles Clippers.
