The Golden State Warriors defeated the Chicago Bulls 92-82 in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas & Mack Center on Sunday.
There were six ties and seven lead changes in this game, but Golden State won each of the first three quarters. A 27-17 third quarter was the decisive frame, with the Warriors leading by at least eight points for the entirety of the fourth quarter. Golden State shot 42.2% from the field and 32% from 3-point range while holding Chicago to 38 percent from the field and 25.8 percent from long range. The Warriors also outrebounded the Bulls 53-41 while doubling them up in blocks, 6-3.
The Warriors (2-0) were led by Brandin Podziemski, providing 21 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Daeqwon Plowden totaled 14 points and three rebounds. Trayce Jackson-Davis tallied 17 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals. Kevin Knox led the bench with 16 points, six boards and two blocks
The Bulls (1-1) were led by Matas Buzelis, collecting 28 points, five rebounds and two steals. DJ Steward amassed 15 points, two rebounds and nine assists. Adama Sanogo had 16 points and eight rebounds, while Henri Drell amassed 12 points, three boards and two steals.
On deck for Chicago is a matchup with the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. As for Golden State, they play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday for their next outing.
