LAS VEGAS — Jaylen Wells poured in 28 points and Scotty Pippen Jr. posted a triple-double, leading the Memphis Grizzlies to a 99-98 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA 2K25 Summer League on Sunday at Thomas and Mack Center.
The Grizzlies got out to a solid start and led 25-19 after one quarter. The Clippers picked up the pace in the second and turned in 35 points to claim a five-point advantage at the break.
The Clippers brought the fight in the fourth and tied the score early in the quarter, but the Grizzlies kept their focus and managed to stay a step ahead down the stretch.
Wells shot 9-for-12 from the field and added three rebounds, two assists and a steal to his team-best scoring effort for the Grizzlies. Pippen Jr. piled up 23 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and a block, while GG Jackson delivered 20 points, four rebounds, four assists and a block.
Jordan Miller led the Clippers with 28 points, two rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in 26 minutes of action. Cam Christie followed up with 22 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, while Kobe Brown added 17 points, three rebounds, four assists and a steal.
