LAS VEGAS — Daeqwon Plowden’s strong all-around effort helped lead Golden State to a 96-85 victory over Cleveland in an NBA 2K25 Summer League battle at Cox Pavilion on Wednesday night.

The Warriors emerged from the first quarter with a slim 26-22 lead, but they changed the dynamic of the game with a 28-16 second-quarter advantage. Golden State’s edge over the Cavaliers was up to 17 points going into the final period, and the closest Cleveland got was the 11-point margin of defeat that was achieved by a Darius Brown layup with three seconds remaining.

Plowden led the Warriors with 16 points, adding seven rebounds and one assist. Roman Sorkin generated a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double that included two assists. Jackson Rowe and Pat Spencer contributed matching 13-point, five-rebound tallies, with the latter adding seven assists and four steals. Mantas Rubstavicius supplied 12 points, two rebounds and one assist.

Craig Porter Jr. paced the Cavaliers with 14 points, complementing them with six rebounds, three assists and four steals. Emoni Bates furnished 13 points and two rebounds. Hunter Cattoor compiled 12 points, three boards, two assists and two steals.
