Nets fined $100K for violating NBA's Player Participation Policy
Today, the NBA revealed that the Brooklyn Nets franchise has been penalized with a $100,000 fine for breaching the league’s Player Participation Policy. This violation relates to their game against the Milwaukee Bucks at Barclays Center on December 27.
After an investigation, which included an independent physician’s review, the NBA found that four rotation players from the Nets who sat out a game could have actually played according to the Player Participation Policy’s medical standard. This policy, which was implemented before the current season, was violated by the organization’s conduct. The policy aims to encourage player participation in the NBA’s 82-game season.
