Pacers rookie Bennedict Mathurin to miss remainder of Summer League

Bennedict Mathurin takes a social post from 'Dream to Reality' in just four years' time.

The Pacers announced Thursday that No. 6 overall pick Bennedict Mathurin’s run at the NBA 2K23 Summer League in Las Vegas has come to an end, due to a sore left toe.

An NBA Academy product who played two seasons at Arizona, Mathurin played three games in Vegas, averaging 19.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals while shooting 38.5% from 3 and 48.8% overall. The Montreal native was selected back-to-back in this year’s lottery with fellow Canadian Shaedon Sharpe, who went No. 7 to Portland.

UPDATE: We will withhold Bennedict Mathurin from the remainder of Summer League for precautionary reasons due to a sore left big toe.

Additionally, Isaiah Jackson and Terry Taylor will not appear in the remainder of our Summer League games.
