The 2023-24 Portland Trail Blazers City Edition uniform pays homage to the championship-winning NBA Coach Jack Ramsay.
The Naismith Hall of Famer, also referred to as Dr. Jack, was a brilliant basketball aficionado and 70’s chic fashionista.
Ramsay led the Portland Trail Blazers to their first championship in the 1976-77 season. This young team included legends like Bill Walton, Lionel Hollins and Maurice Lucas.
To honor his trendsetting plaid-patterned style, the uniform features a primary black color while adorned with bold Dr. Jack plaid patterned accents on the wings, waistband and wordmark. A plaid pattern drapes down the sides of the jersey and shorts.
Rip City is boldly filled in with red and black plaid designs across the chest and a replica Dr. Jack patch is displayed on the belt buckle. Ramsay’s hand-written signature is also featured on the jersey anthem as another homage to the championship coach.
