Reports: Bucks add D.J. Augustin, Bobby Portis

Bobby Portis provides a physical presence for Milwaukee’s frontcourt.

On Saturday, the Bucks persisted with their assertive offseason transformation by reaching free agent agreements with forward Bobby Portis and point guard D.J. Augustin. This information is according to several reports from Shams Charania of The Athletic and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

ESPN sources report that free agent guard DJ Augustin has accepted a three-year, $21M deal with Milwaukee.

The additions come on the heels of Milwaukee’s imminent trade for Jrue Holiday and the reported departures of Robin Lopez and Ersan Ilyasova.

Last season, 25-year-old Portis averaged 10.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game for the Knicks in his fifth NBA season. Throughout his career, he has averaged 10.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Augustin, aged 33, is set to join his ninth team in his 13-year NBA career. His career average is 9.9 points and 4.0 assists per game.
