The 16-year NBA veteran and eight-time All-Star center just had a season of redemption with the Los Angeles Lakers, proving to be a dependable player off the bench. Averaging 7.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game during the regular season, along with 1.1 blocks, Howard showed his worth.
Per Bobby Marks of ESPN, the deal is worth the veteran minimum exception of $2.6 million.
Presumably, Howard will be the main backup for Joel Embiid in Philadelphia.
