Sacramento Kings trade Garrett Temple to Memphis Grizzlies for Ben McLemore, Deyonta Davis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — The Memphis Grizzlies have acquired guard Garrett Temple from the Sacramento Kings in exchange for guard Ben McLemore, center Deyonta Davis, a future second-round pick and cash considerations.
This past season, 32-year-old Temple achieved a career-high of 8.4 points per game, shooting 39.2 percent from the 3-point range. The 6-foot-6 guard also averaged 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists, playing for 24.8 minutes on average.
Temple has previously played for Houston, San Antonio, Milwaukee, Charlotte, and Washington. His career averages are 5.5 points, 2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
McLemore is returning to Sacramento via a trade, the team that initially selected him as the seventh overall pick in the 2013 draft from Kansas. The 25-year-old spent his first four NBA seasons with the Kings before moving to Memphis the previous year.
In the 2017-18 season with the Grizzlies, the 6-5 guard averaged 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 19.5 minutes. McLemore’s career averages stand at 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.
This past season for Memphis, 21-year-old Davis averaged 5.8 points, 4 rebounds, and 15.2 minutes.
