Status update on Kevin Durant

Brendan Haywood and Grant Hill of NBA TV respond to reports that Kevin Durant will be out for two games because of a troubling hamstring injury.

Kevin Durant, a forward for the Nets, who has made a significant comeback from an Achilles rupture and boosted the team’s top-ranked offense, will be out for at least the next two games due to a strain in his left hamstring.

On Sunday evening, the team reported that Durant had suffered a ‘mild’ strain, which was diagnosed earlier in the day. Durant has been performing well, averaging 29.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists with a shooting average of 52.4%. His 3-point range shooting is at a career-best of 43.4%. These statistics are from his 35.8 minutes of play across 19 games.
