NHL players take in a couple of football games ahead of hockey season
When you get your first job you have to learn the lay of the land.
San Jose Sharks phenoms Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith, the team’s top draft picks in 2024 and 2023, respectively, took part in a Bay Area right of passage Sunday, taking in a San Francisco 49ers game.
The pair donned home red 49ers jerseys for a game against the New England Patriots and made a video shared by the team on social media.

The talented young forwards have Sharks fans excited for the future but just a few hours down the road south, a Los Angeles Kings mainstay did more than just take in a game.
Veteran forward Adrian Kempe rang the siren for the Los Angeles Chargers as they hosted the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Kempe, heading into his 9th NHL season, all with the Kings, came to L.A. just about the same time as the Chargers. His rookie season finished in 2017, the same year the Chargers moved from San Diego.
