Maple Leafs Re-sign Alex Steeves To A One-year, Two-way Contract
Today, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced the re-signing of forward Alex Steeves to a one-year, two-way contract. The contract is valued at $775,000 at the NHL level.
The 24-year-old Steeves garnered 57 points (27 goals, 30 assists) in 65 matches with the Toronto Marlies in the last season, earning him a place in the 2024 AHL All-Star Game. Born in Bedford, New Hampshire, Steeves has played seven regular seasons games in his NHL career with the Maple Leafs, where he managed to score one assist. During his three-season tenure with the Marlies, he has amassed 154 points (69 goals, 85 assists) in 188 regular season games and an additional five points (one goal, four assists) in 10 playoff games.
On March 28, 2021, Steeves initially signed as a free agent with Toronto.
